in case youve got sibelius (and your own songs) this is a must have for reaharsal...very convenient.
just one bug : in the stand mode you cant go landscape (or you dont see the part when going in the lower part).

I have read reviews online about this app. One of the comments has been the ability to see well the score for those of us who use glasses and our eye sight isnt what it used to be. I am 59 (ouch that hurts to admit). I wear contact lenses for distance, reading glasses for books and intermediate glasses for my music. This app allows you to adjust the font and the size of the page. Turning a page in full screen mode is just a touch to the screen. I love this. At times, to have to swipe is impractical for a musican. One touch and it turns the pdf so rapidly that I had to double check to make sure it had changed.
To work with vocals where you are not sure of the key signature that is within their range, for the first time I use simply a sibelius version, upload it to my Ipad and change the key with the singer. No more printing 3 copies in 3 different keys.
For those of you looking for a software that does all that the desktop Sibelius does, this is not for you. This is an app to enhance the playing and singing experience not the composing and arranging although you can make changes to the Sibelius scores.
Well worth the money. I dont spend money on apps when there are so many free ones that do the job, but this I am glad I spent the money.

This can playback or transpose the sheet files prepared by using Sibelius which have .sib suffix. But it needs update due to crashes when opening files.
Some bad moments
I always used this program without any problems. A week ago, I installed the new Sibelius 7.5 and now I cant open my scores in the Avid Scorch app for IPad.
Please, I need a new version of Avid Scorch that works with Sibelius 7.5 files.

Although this app displays a score it does so more as a pdf so that if one enlarges to a size one likes, the score is cut off and is not helpful when trying to follow. It would be better if there was an auto-wrap feature like enlarging the font on a word processor. Also when playing it would be useful if the marker scrolled when an enlarge view played out of range of the visible screen. The interface is too spare and it is hard to figure out how to get out of full screen mode. Needs some work to be useful.
unhip to the hilt! The songs proposed as a sampler certainly dont correspond to anything I would want to play except Django which youve managed to marginalize and ridicule. No automatic page changing? The app should take care of that! Are you sure this is for the Ipad? By the way, the app was a little bugged, the chart would actually disappear at times.
When you read that you can modify your Sibelius scores, dont be fooled: this is NOT an editor of any kind. I can see that it could make a good sheet music reader, and when you load in a Sibelius score, it looks good in this app. However, if you want the app to play your score, the only decent sample is the piano sound. The other instrument samples are terrible. And there is very little in the way of scores that can be purchased through the apps online store.
This app shows a lot of potential. It has a very useful score playback mode, and some score wide editing features like transpose. BUT, it will NOT load .sib files from Sibelius 7. The preloaded files that come with Scorch will give you an idea as to what this program can do.
Once Avid gets the Sibelius 7 compatibility problem worked out Ill rate this higher. For now two stars.
Doesnt do what it says it does - you cant edit the sheet music! $2 down the drain.
